Put butce.app on your iPhone or iPad like an app
No App Store download needed. Three taps in Safari and it sits on your Home Screen with its own icon, opening full screen.
Setup steps

Open butce.app in Safari
Skip this step if you are already reading this page in Safari.

Tap the share icon at the bottom
It is the square with an arrow pointing up, centered at the bottom of the screen. On iPad it sits in the top right.

Scroll the menu, tap Add to Home Screen
It is a little further down the list, next to a square icon with a plus sign.

Tap Add in the top right
The icon lands on your Home Screen. From now on you open it there, like any other app.
What changes
- Its own icon on your Home Screen, so you get in without opening Safari.
- No address bar and no tabs, it runs full screen.
- It appears as a separate window in the app switcher.
- Your data stays in the same account, everything is there when you sign in from a computer.
Common questions
Will there be an App Store app?
We are working on a separate app interface for iPhone and iPad. We would rather not name a date, we will announce it when it is ready. Until then the method above covers everyday use.
I use Chrome, does that work?
Yes. Chrome and Edge on iPhone and iPad can add to the Home Screen too, from the same row in the share menu. Safari is the smoothest, full screen behaviour after adding works completely there.
Do I have to sign in again when I open it from the Home Screen?
You sign in once on first launch. The Home Screen version keeps its session separate from Safari, so tick Remember Me when you sign in.
Can I use my account on an Android phone as well?
Yes. Our Android app is live on Google Play and uses the same account. For security, only one device stays signed in at a time.
